Both of my oldest kids have this sweater. They do their own laundry, so these definitely don't get washed on delicate, and also go thelrough the dryer on high heat. That being said, the fabric doesn't look worn or pulled, there's no shrinkage, and the embroidery still looks perfect. The quality is really good, but I think that you are mostly paying for the big embroidery, and the use of the schools crests/logos. I pay almost as much for sweatshirts at Dance conventions and through hockey, and those are only silk screened, not embroidered like these.
