BC PST Exemption for Children’s Clothing and Footwear

British Columbia residents may qualify for a PST exemption when purchasing eligible adult-sized clothing or footwear for a child under 15 years of age. To request the exemption, download and complete the form below, then email it to info@boathousestores.com along with your Boathouse order number. Our team will review your request and contact you if additional information is required.

Instructions

  • Download and open the PST Exemption Form.
  • Complete Part A – Merchandise Information using your purchase date, Boathouse order number, price, and a description of the eligible items.
    • All of this information can be found in your Order Confirmation email
    • INVOICE/REFERENCE/TRANSACTION - enter your Order # 
    • PRICE - Enter the subtotal price + shipping before tax - this is very important. Do not include tax amounts in the price field or the form will be void. 
    • DESCRIPTION OF MERCHANDISE - Add the Product names to this section. If multiple items add them all
  • Complete Part B – Purchaser Information with your full legal name, telephone number, and mailing address.
    • Enter the child’s full legal name if it is different from the purchaser’s name.
    • Complete the youth organization field only if the purchase is being made by an organization for multiple children.
  • Review Part C, then sign and date the form.
  • Make sure every applicable field is completed and the information is clearly readable.
  • Email the completed form to info@boathousestores.com with the subject line: BC PST Exemption – Order #[Order Number].
  • Boathouse will review the form and contact you if any additional information is required.
  • When all of the information is verified, you will receive a refund on your order to the original payment method. 

 

This exemption applies to qualifying adult-sized clothing or footwear purchased for a child under 15 years of age.
