I wanted these boots to dress up for work. I am on my feet minimum 6 hours a day, and have had a previous back surgery, with daily pain , and feet swelling, so straying from my running shoes is scary! Also keep in mind to size down one size as they do fit big. They have a slight soft sole, and fit wide feet nicely. Walking out into the ice in the parking lot is not an issue because the grip on these is amazing. The leather is soft, yet durable. The price point is much lower than other popular brands of Chelsea style boots. The heel is just enough to wear with jeans, but easy to style with dress pants. Like I
said size down one size, as I had to exchange in store, which was no big deal.
