Order a Size - or two - Down Because they are Not True to Size

I normally wear Converse - hovering somewhere between a 9 (Women's) and a 9 1/2 depending on the style. I tried on a 9 of this in store and realized they were WAY to big, so, when ordering online, I ordered an 8 instead. Now, as a whole they fit well enough for me to be satisfied enough to not return them, but they are still surprisingly loose - specifically where the strap goes behind the heel. Honestly, If they offered half-sizes, I'd say an 7.5 would have been the perfect fit. I'm able to slide my foot back enough that it doesn't compromise the way it fits at my toes so that it a little snugger at the back, but definitely not enough to be considered "secure". And considering that all my shoes in the past have loosened with wear, I'm concerned that the same will happen with these. Time will tell, I suppose.

The color is also not 100% accurate. While the photo looks like its almost a mixture of navy blue and purple (a color combo I admittedly wasn't a huge fan of - but they were the only ones in stock) they are actually a combination of three different shades of purple. I was actually really happy with the actual color.

Despite all this, I'm still going to recommend the product. They're a fun shoe that remind me a lot of the jelly shoes that I had when I was a kid, so it gains points for the nostalgia alone. But I'd definitely recommend that, if you're able to, try on a pair in store before ordering them online.
